As with all games, Warhammer: Dark Omen is not without flaws, the biggest of which in this case is that you can't save the game until after you've completed a battle. The first is the greater incorporation of 3d terrains, which as a direct result,= means ranged and artillery units are affected by the 'line-of-sight' rule - these units must have a clear visual of a target, before they can engage them. The second is a more improved interface system for the player to use with units, including onscreen HUD indicators to help keep track of friendly and enemy units, especially when they're not shown on the player's screen.

About Genre Strategy Rating Rated 'T' for Animated Violence Summary Normally, war brings only death and strife, but there are some who benefit from war: mercenaries. Play as Commander Morgan Berndhardt of the Grudgebringer mercenaries as he fights for gold and glory.
Help Berndhardt place his units which include archers, infantry, cavalry, and artillery on the battlefield. When the battalions are positioned, start the battle against orcs, mummies, and goblins. If things start to go badly, Bernhardt can issue orders to his troops to turn the tide of battle. After gaining victory, use your reward and recruit new troops, or buy new weapons and armor for those who survived the last battle. Luckily, veterans on the fight will gain experience and new skills.
